Metafora terminologic\u0103, un concept relativ nou, transfer\u0103 sensul de la un domeniu concret la unul abstract, baz\u00e2ndu-se pe analogie (asociere) \u0219i diferen\u021be conceptuale. Cercet\u0103torii identific\u0103 func\u021biile cognitive \u0219i structurale ale metaforei conceptuale. \u00cen sistemul limbii, metaforele \u00ee\u0219i impun propriile modele conceptuale, oferind termenilor capacitate func\u021bional\u0103. Metaforizarea este un fenomen cognitiv universal.
